Honor the Fallen Ruck March 2026
Join us on Friday, May 22, 2026 at Dawes Park for a powerful day of remembrance, community, and purpose.
This event honors the lives and sacrifices of:
- United States Army Specialist Wesley R. Wells, a lifelong Libertyville resident who gave his life in 2004 while fighting insurgents in Afghanistan during Operation Enduring Freedom.
- United States Army Veteran Daniel Nerstrom, who lost his life to suicide after battling PTSD following a combat deployment.
Together, we Ruck to remember, to honor, and to ensure their legacies live on.
All proceeds benefit Veterans Path to Hope of Lake County, supporting programs that serve veterans and their families.
All donations of $25 or more receive a 2026 Honor the Fallen t-shirt

Event Schedule
🕖 7:00 AM – Participant Check-In begins
🕣 8:30 AM – Opening Ceremony
🕘 9:00 AM – First Wave Step-Off
📍 Route Turnaround: Fullerton Beach
🏁 2:00 PM – 6:00 PM – Finish Line & Medals back at Dawes Park
